Top 5 Benefits of Being Vegan or Vegetarian

Here are a few great reasons to switch to a vegan diet today!

  1. It’s better for your health!

Vegetarians live an average of 7 years longer and vegans live an average of up to 15 years longer than their meat-eating counterparts. Vegans also have significantly lower risk of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity, and several other disorders. To learn the many more health reasons to go vegan CLICK HERE!

  2. It’s better for the environment!

Meat production is the main reason for deforestation. It is also responsible for more greenhouse gases than all forms of transportation combined. To learn the many environmental reasons to go vegan CLICK HERE!

  3. It’s better for your wallet!

Switching to a vegan diet can potentially save the average person hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars each year in grocery bills as well as health care bills. This is because, relative to weight and calories, vegan food is significantly cheaper and healthier for you. To learn more economic reasons to go vegan CLICK HERE!

  4. It is far more ethically sound.

Each year billions of innocent animals are killed, without necessity,  to be placed on your plate and be consumed. These animals can interact with each other, feel pain, and experience fear just like human beings. Do your part in putting an end to this by switching to a vegan diet today! 5. It is spiritually superior!

All of the world’s largest religions have scriptures pertaining to the abstinence from meat. To learn more about what your religion says about vegetarianism CLICK HERE!

Exactly! I’ve always found it absurd when people say that it’s more expensive, when in reality meat is the most expensive thing on their plate!

Manny, I have been Vegan for 3+ years and have spent countless hours of my life tirelessly defending my stance on the issue. The articles in your blog are not only informative, but you pointed out things that I, as a 3 year Vegan, haven’t even considered. Well done! Keep up the good work!

Few words written in just the right way. Personally I love being vegan for all these reasons plus it is much easier to tell the truth. I’d rather be making raw vegan food in the hot summer heat than heating something over the hot stove. ^_^

I was recently doing a post on this for cayisa.wordpress.com & watched the documentary Vegucated. It’s a little dated now but it was fascinating and taught me so much about the unnecessary content we throw into our bodies. Living a meatless life is far more possible now and that’s actually kind of exciting!

Thanks for keeping your articles simple and easy – lighthearted. The more we can get the word out there the better. Keep it up! Also I may ping back to this from my site – I have a heavily trafficked vegan meal service and this would be a great post/site to reference. Since I am always cooking I don’t always have time to write. You have quite the talent! Good luck!

Thanks for following my blog! Thought I’d stop by to check yours out too. I’ve been plant-based for 2 years now, and have been able to cure my health issues through nutrition. My Before & After pictures are on the ‘About’ page of my blog. I don’t want to just live longer, but better. Loving life! Thanks again!

This is one of the first articles I have read of yours, and I must say, you have kept it simple yet it makes perfect sense! Even though I am not a vegetarian, I respect the thought and views you have put down here. It’s refreshing to know that people out there still seek for a better environment!

    Hi Manny,
Thanks for following my blog! I’ve only had a chance to check out a couple of your posts but I love the look of your blog.
There is so much conflicting advice out there (health wise), which makes diet a tricky issue for people. Ethically, I completely understand veganism. Health-wise however, I’m not sure. What is your take on Vitamin B12? Do you have suggestions also for people who can’t tolerate beans and legumes? Thanks!
